30ft Kraken Rum Cake Tentacle
On Friday 13th September a 30ft long tentacle was recovered from Port Meirion beach by an intrepid ‘Kraken Hunter’, and taken to The Kraken Rum tent at Festival No. 6 where it was served to hungry festival goers as means of disposal. This is the first time in living memory detailed examination of Kraken anatomy has taken place with food artists, The Tattooed Bakers, identifying the flesh as a rich spiced dark rum soaked fruit cake.
Wearing full protective clothing, the Kraken Hunter then proceeded to serve the remains to a hungry crowd who had witnessed the recovery of the tentacle earlier in the day. Legend has it eating the flesh of Kraken will leave those who consumed it with special powers and a distinguished taste in rum.
What is more further remains of the Kraken (a beast previously thought to be mythological) have been recovered by UK based ‘Kraken Hunters UK’, a The Kraken Rum supported organization only for the most brave and intrepid individuals. Large chunks of flesh, including an intact football sized eyeball, have been found in the Thames Estuary with an autopsy scheduled to find out more.
